Day 1: Danang Arrival – Hue City tour half day AK0868 ETAat 09:15 a.mWelcome to Danang!You will be met at the airport and transferred directly to Hue. Pass by Hai Van Pass.
Lunch time. then check in hotel.
This afternoon, you willproceed half day tour to visit theImperial Citadel and Forbidden City, createdin the 19th century for the Emperors under Nguyen Dynasty, Khai Dinh Tomb. We thentake a boat ride along the romantic Perfume River. We stop at ThienMu Pagoda to see the 7-storey octagonal tower. Transfer back to hotel, free atleisure. Overnight in Hue.
Day2: Hue– DMZ – Hoian (B)Wedepart from the hotel at 7:30 am. This tour will introduce you to the time ofthe American War. You will visit some of the major historical sites of thistime:
DocMieu Base:located on a low rise south of the Ben Hai River- part of the former Mc Namara line - this base was once part of an elaborateelectronic system intended to prevent infiltration across the DMZ. Today, youcan still see the remains of bunkers, craters and shrapnel.
Ben Hai River:once the demarcation line between North and South Vietnam.
CuaTung beach: a long secluded stretch of sand where the lastemperor, Bao Dai, used to go on vacation.
Andother places in DMZ as Hien Luong Bridge,Rock pile,….
Getback to Hue inthe afternoon. Transfer directly to Hoian. Overnight in Hoian.
Day3: Hoian – My Son – Hoian (B)This morning, we takea half day excursion to My Son sanctuary. It was the site of religious ceremonyof kings of the Champa dynasty, and was also a burial place of Champa royalsand national heroes.The My Son temple complex is one of the foremost templecomplexes of Hinduism in South East Asia and is the foremost heritage site ofthis nature in Vietnam.In the late morning we travel southward to the enchanting port town of Hoi An. Enjoy lunch atlocal restaurant.
Walk around and visitHoian ancient town.Overnight in Hoian.
Day 4: Hoian– Cham Museum– Marble Mountain– Danang Beach – Hoian (B)Departfrom the hotel in Hoian at 8 am. The excursion includes the main attractions inthe area: the Cham Museum, the MarbleMountains and the China Beach.Danang was named “ Saigon of the North” during the American War and known underthe French as Tourane. It succeeded Hoi An asthe most important harbor in central Vietnam during the 19thcentury. The Cham Museum, founded in 1915by the Ecole Francaise d’Extreme Orient, is an open-air collection of thefinest Cham sculptures in the world. The Marble Mountainsconsists of five marble hills. Each of them is representing a differentelement: Thuy (Water), Moc (Wood), Hoa (Fire), Kim (Metal) and Tho (Earth). Thelargest and most famous one; the Thuy Mountain, has numerouscaves, in which Buddhist sanctuaries have been built through thecenturies.
Visit Son Tra Peninsulaand Linh Ung Pagodathen head back to Hoian in the late afternoon. Overnightin Hoian.
Day 5/2 Mar 2012: Hoian– Danang departure (B) AK0869 09:45 a.m – 13:30Breakfastat hotel then check out at07:00 a.m to transfer to Danang airport for your flight back home. Enjoy your trip!
