Day 1 Ha Noi - Thai Nguyen - Ba Be National Park ( Lunch, Dinner)
After pick up from Hanoi Airport, drive through the Red River Delta north along Hwy 3 to Thai Nguyen. Of interest here is the Museum of the Cultures of Viet Nam's Ethnic Groups. Leaving the delta behind, you'll start climbing into the mountainous area of Ba Be National Park. Check in hotel in Ba Be. Free at your leisure time.
Day 2 Ba Be - Cao Bang (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Ba Be Lake, surrounded by rugged limestone mountains, is Viet Nam's only natural mountain lake. This important eco-system is well known for over 330 species of butterflies! Have breakfast at your hotel before exploring the lake by boat with lush forest clinging to the surrounding mountains. Reach the end of the lake and trek to Dau Dang Waterfall before heading north through the mountains to the city of Cao Bang. Overnight in a hotel.
Day 3 Ban Gioc Waterfall (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Take a scenic day trip north of Cao Bang to the beautiful Ban Gioc Waterfall on the Chinese border for a picnic lunch. This picturesque, cascading waterfall is 53 meters high and has an impressive span of 300 meters. The unique landscape includes limestone karst formations soaring from the verdant rice paddies of Tay, H'Mong and Dzao ethnic minority groups. Back to Cao Bang and Overnight in the same hotel.
Day 4 Cao Bang - Ha Noi (Breakfast / Lunch)
Before departing Cao Bang, consider climbing the hill up to the War Memorial for a great panoramic view. Trip back to Hanoi from Cao Bang at 10:00 a.m.
Arrive Hanoi at 5pm. Free n easy. At 8pm pick up to train station. Overnight trip to Lao Cai in sharing comfortable sleeping compartments (lower & upper berth per compartment) – Train departs approx. 9.15pm.
Day 5 Lao Cai – Sapa – Cat Cat Village (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner )
Early morning (approx. 5.30am) arrival at Lao Cai, the border town to Yunnan. Transfer to Sapa on winding roads up the mountains. On clear days, you can see Fansipan mountain. After breakfast at hotel, we enjoy the beautiful landscape and visit the bustling Sa Pa Market where the Red Dao, Black Hmong, Tay and Xa Pho ethnic minorities converge from the nearby mountainsides and valleys to trade their goods and buy provisions. Late morning, check in hotel for relax. Afternoon, we take a short drive to Cat Cat Village of the Hmong People, then take a light trekking around, share their daily lives for a rate glimpse into their culture and customs. Overnight in Sapa.
Day 6 Sapa – Ta Van Village– Hanoi by Train (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
After breakfast, the guide takes you to the villages of the Hmong and Dzay called Lao Chai and Ta Van. Have lunch on the way or in a family of the ethnic people. Return to Sa Pa. Back to Lao Cai train station by bus. Take a night train back to Ha Noi. Arrive in Ha Noi at round 4.30 am. Pick up to the hotel for taking bath only and having breakfast.
Day 7 Hanoi - Ha Long Bay - Overnight at VIP Junk (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner )
Pick up at hotel. Depart Ha Noi at 8:00 am and driver 3 hours by private coach to Ha Long City, Get on Huy Hoang or Thai Binh Duong Boat, enjoy welcome drink and a lunch of savoury local sea food. Check into your cabin and start on a 4 hour cruise of the bay to see the amazing karsts with different formations : Lion, Tea Pot, Toad, Dau Nguoi ( Human Head) islet, and then stop for walk though the Sung sot cave " Amazing Cave).
There will be plenty of time for swimming and sunbath( weather permitting) as you anchor for a night on the bay .Enjoy a wonderful sunset dinner in our beautiful restaurant before retiring to the comfort of your cabin.
Day 8 Ha Long - Hanoi (Breakfast, Lunch)
You will spend the morning cruising Va Gia floating Village for visiting , kayaking, then going to Bai Tu Long Bay, the neglected area which is the most spectacular bay with islands in different shapes , then you have a look at Hon Gai market, Poem Island. Come back to Ha Long city for lunch in the restaurant.
After lunch, return to Ha Noi city. Arrive in Ha Noi around 4:00 PM and check in the hotel.
Day 9 Hanoi – Kuala Lumpur ( Breakfast )
Rest of day at leisure until pickup from hotel for transfer to airport.
